HIV cured via bone marrow transplate

Slashdot is reporting the intriguing news that a German doctor has cured a patient of HIV (2 years free of the virus) with a bone marrow transplant from a person naturally immune. Very exciting stuff.

this is freaking awesome… I read about it recently and thought, “God, your hand must be in there somewhere.”

I can’t wait for the day I’m insanely wealthy and can poor money into making something like this a widespread viable solution.
