I hear you are having some troubles with the wayz of the mighty OSX delete problem : works ok on my keyboard, im guessing youre using a macbook of some form, so an external keyboard is the only way around this. no help for the ctrl = apple key thing, i have the same problem when using teh windoze. for bowling the cursor round the page, hold the apple key and arrow around. or option key.
