Cozumel

Today we’ve been on the Mexican island of Cozumel, yesterday was Grand Cayman. Yesterday we swam with Stingrays! We’ve pretty much explored all the ship now, and most of the avenues available to reduce the pain from my sunburn. What a surprise. Tomorrow and the Friday will be Costa Maya and Belize.

Damien bought me some cuban cigars.

The weather is mixed… hot and sunny, and then sudden rain, and then cloudy and drab. But… even with clouds it’s plenty warm to sit out on the back deck with no shirt, as I’m doing now.

Oh. Yeah.

A day at sea

It’s really quite nice on this ship. Lots of fun things to do and eat.

Today I’ve been to the gym and had a sauna, and wandered aimlessly. That may be the best part of this holiday… doing things aimlessly.

But the interwebs are costly. $0.55 per minute… and that’s with a bundle discount.

The high number of couples are irritating me, but the free liquor tasting helped out. :)

Birthday 07, and a cruise

Thanks to all who wished me a happy birthday, and or came out tonight. I had a fun fun time.

Now I really need to go to bed, as I’ll be getting up in 3 hours, then driving to Buffalo with my family where my Dad and brothers and I shall fly to Tampa Bay and get on a cruise ship! See ya round suckers!

And by suckers, I am NOT including my dear wife, who threw me a most excellent party. I’ll miss you this week my honey, but I know you’ll have fun in Winnipeg.

Muah.

To the rest, a good night.

Packing up your life

In some ways we feel like we’re planning a wedding again, in that we’ve been given 3 months to pack up our lives and move on to something new and exciting, and a little scary.

I’ve filled out my paperwork for Finnish First Residence, which I’m eligible for due to Maija being a citizen. Resume’s are getting sharpened up, I’m sitting my G test next week. Someone’s going to teach us to drive standard. We’ve started thinking about what will go in boxes. I cut off my one year beard. You know…

The thing that’s fascinating to me about this move, is More >
