For serious.
Maija was accepted into the International Development and Cooperation Master’s program at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland. So we’ve got under 4 months to pack up our lives and get outa here. We fly out on August 28th, for 2 years or so. 18 months of the course is spent in the class room, and then 6 months onsight at the location here thesis is about, which for us is likely Tanzania!

Sony’s evil DVD mastering

“It seems that the most recent DVDs released by Sony — specifically Stranger Than Fiction, Casino Royale, and The Pursuit of Happyness — have some kind of ‘feature’ that makes them unplayable on many DVD players. This doesn’t appear to be covered by the major media yet. A blogger called Sony and was told the problem is with the new copy protection scheme, and they do not intend to fix it. Sony says it’s up to the manufacturers to update their hardware.”
Easter 07

Had a wonderfully irreligious Easter with family and friends. We took in just as much Freshwind as we wanted, and I had the pleasure of spinning with Ed 3 times, from Thursday to Saturday. The mighty School of Ministry FreshRock @ Freshwind tent housed us, and the talents of Missionaries in Position, Worthless Without and The Light of Con Stamos, who are the the ONLY band in the world, as far as I’m concerned.
