300

If you’ve ever played the Lord of the Rings games, namely The Two Towers, you’ll remember many moments of fighting vaste hordes of enemies, for ages and ages. Swing your sword, turn behind you, swing your sword, turn back in front, repeat.

This is what came to mind as I sat mesmerized by the glorious bloody carnage that is 300. I’m not going to bother giving it a rating, as ratings are purely subjective to the raters tastes. (This is actually a rule from now on, except for movies that really stand out as being near perfect.)

I enjoyed 300. 300 incredibly badass dudes (Master Chief levels af badassery), with 12-pack abbs laying waste to thousands of dirty Persians, and laughing while they go. There was just enough political intrigue and family tension to make it a complete flick, so it’s not just about stabbing and slashing. Compared to Braveheart or Gladiator (which many are comparing it to) I would say though that it’s simpler, and probably features a higher percentage of screen time that is blood-letting time.

That violence is pretty clean too; lots and lots of blood, and a few decapitations, but nothing too brutally torturous or barbaric. The moments not involving fighting tended to involve boobs, so consider yourself informed.

Overall: convincing performances, great soundtrack, likeable characters, followable leaders, and 300 ultimate badasses. What more could you want?

    you’ve missed the point…
    i’ll be as clear as i can…

the point of giving a rating on a movie is because someone will most likely turn to you about this movie and your rating will give them a clearer indication as to what they might to see, or might want to skip.

    it’s like this see:
You say firefly is a great watch
i says “Who the F*** has heard of firefly?!?”
    you say “it’s a 10 on 10 bad boy”
    I say “ok..i’ll give it a chance
sure enough….Fox f***ed up on that one big time

another way to put it is this, look at the blocked out swears in this reply…they can be taken 2 ways
person #1 absolutely loves swear words and gives this post a 1 out of 10 simply due cause person #1 would rather see those swears in their full and not blocked out
person #2 is not fond of swear words at all and gives this post a 10 on 10 for the classy way those swears are blocked out…

now, i’m a reader…i notice that person #1 gave this post a 1 out of 10 due to swears…knowing that person #1 is a swear-fanatic (only know this cause i’ve been paying attention to person #1’s swear ratings…) i can make a more informed decisiong about reading this reply
in the same respect, all peoples will know that this is a safe post to read for anyone aged 4-7 simply because person #2 gave this post a 10 on 10…and person #2 is a solid, trustworthy, swear-o-meter…

i hope you get the point…you need to really think about this and get with the times…i don’t want to have to tell you to give things a rating again…

oh..the real reason i came to post here…september 2006 at the school is only available in vocal mix…and you know i want it in dub mix….where’s the S*** (keeping tru to the code for the sake of person #2 and the kids)…

    RAUG
