We aint in Kansas anymore

Having spent a few weeks now working on my Dvorak typing skills, I’m now clocking in around 30 wpms or so. To contrast, my Qwerty skills put me at about 80 wpms. For the purposes of this post, I used this website to test myself: http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php

So, test yourself… see how you do. Likely you’re a faster typer than me, qwerty or otherwise. I ran a few of these till my error count was at a minimum. I think I’m making good progress, considering Qwerty had a 14 year headstart.

Goodbye QWERTY

That’s right, I’ve switched to the Dvorak layout.

These few words have taken me at least 5 minutes to write. This is much more difficult than I thought it would be.
