I dunno Pudd. I was in the Bahamas last holiday season and it was less then nice. They got hit by those two huricanse so things aren't quite as nice as it could be. And it seemed a bit Gheto, honestly. So unless you stay at a resort type place, I would say perhaps another place. I heard that St Martin or St Thomas, not sure which, was quite nice though. I would suggest going to NZ....nudge nudge wink wink....

Oh no, I've spent plenty of time with the inlaws. So, I did had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into. But I had never spent more than 2 days living with the inlaws... 8 is an entirely different beast.

"is now more my wife than she is their daughter"

hmm-it's certainly biblical, or at least the passage in Genesis about leaving the family and getting married leads straight to that interpretation.

It's an interesting thought-one I'm going to have to chew on for a while (can hear contemplator gears turning inside my head...)

I think rather it's the family needing to get used to the fact that Maija is now more my wife than she is their daughter. So certain attitudes and expectations are no longer appropriate.
