Shindig

This Saturday there’s a party at my place, celebrating my 19th birthday/engagement. Come on out, anytime between the 10s.

If you need directions, e-mail me.

Home, Jeeves

It’s 5:19am. After a slice of toast, we’ll be on our way to Moncton airport. Should arriving in Toronto just in time for work.

Yay.

Oh, speaking of work, I’ve got a new job! This Friday is my last day in the mailroom, because on Monday the 30th I become Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship’s Network Administrator. Cool eh.

And it’s my birthday in 2 days.

To St. John, to St. Stephen, to Moncton, to Sackville

That’s been the last 3 days. Journeyors are we!

As I promised, mid day Friday we drove down to St. John from Charlottetown. We met up with Jacob McMurphMiester at Boston Pizza. I was greeted with a congratulatory slap in the face, and then a Jacob sized hug. Following that we went to The Alehouse for dinner. I ordered the Prime Rib expecting some prime ribs. Sadly, and yet not-so-sadly, I received a steak instead. After the food, we took in Star Wars Episode III.

Oh my freaking goodness. See it now, you must!

Then we drove “home” to St. Stephen. Saturday we More >

OK fine…

So last night Maija and I went to The Pilot House, a nice restaurant here in Charlottetown. I spent the whole evening at her grandma’s trying to find a nice restaurant that wasn’t closed already. Silly early closing food joints.

We had dessert, and a glass of wine, and then I told her some – and I quote – “beautiful things.” She started crying, and then I told her more beautiful things, and then I asked her to marry me. She immediately said, “Yes!” Then burst into tears again. It was quite wonderful. She didn’t even open the ring for a More >

Speaking of Engaging…

:)

Yep, that’s right.

Charlottetown

Rental car acquired. Highway driven on. Map consulted. Car turned around. Highway driven on.

We’re in PEI! We stopped at Maija’s uncle’s house, but he wasn’t home, so we’ve spent the afternoon wandering around Charlottetown. Quite a cute little place. We had Lobster for lunch! Quite strange I must say. It’s not really a thing that I would ever desire to eat again, but as Maija puts it, “I’ll be in politics one day and you’ll have to come to all these fancy dinners with me, so you better get used to it now.”

Fair enough.

Safely in Sackville

Well, we are now safe and sound in Sackville, at my Dad’s place. Our flights were pretty good, flying via Canjet.

That computer in the airport was garbage. It honestly took us all of 10 minutes to write, and post, that last post. Ahh well.

Tomorrow we’re picking up a rental car, then driving to PEI. There we shall spend the day, and night with Maija’s grandma and uncle. Friday will see us going down to St. Stephen.

Out.

Off to NB

Maija and I are currently in Toronto Airport, waiting for our flight to leave. The keyboard I;m typing on sucks. Ahh well. we’re going to New Brunswick and PEI for 5 days.

If you name is Jacob Murphy, Jeremy Or Shannon Wright, Stephen Pudddle, Bary MacLeod, or Anakin Skywalker, we’ll be seeing you very soon. :)

hi… ya i’m so pumped and the koard feels like a cell phoe ky pad. o to better news one day i’m going to dive a four wheeler around the airport and delivery the elderly to their flights. even if its just to study foor a More >

Xbox 360

Flippin sweat! …er sweet!

Jeremy’s got a great post outlining the forthcoming Xbox 2. Link. Tom’s Hardware has a little of their marketing strategy, for their whole console department. Interesting. I think it will take them pretty far.

I’m most interested to see if it’s backwards compatible. If it is, I’ll buy one the day it comes out, and huck my big black box at my both bad brothers. If it’s not… we’ll see.

Sender: Girl

A package arrived for someone today requiring COD. That is Cash on Delivery. As usual I checked who it was from and going to, just to make sure it’s something we’re happy to pay for.

The sender was listed solely as: “Girl”

What? Thought I. Who’s girl? What’s going on here… People can’t just send stuff to people saying that it’s from girl. What girl? There are so many of them!

On closer inspection however, I noticed a stamp which read “Girl Skateboarding Company, Inc.” Ahh well. Mystery solved.

Some notes from the master

“You can get a large audience together for a strip-tease act – that is, to watch a girl undress on stage. Now suppose you come to a country where you could fill a theatre by simply bringing a covered plate on to the stage and then slowely lifting the cover so as to let every one see, just before the lights went out, that it contained a mutton chop, or a bit of bacon, would you not think that in that country something had gone wrong with the appetite for food?”

“After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try More >
