False profit

or Prophet…

I found someone who thinks he is Jesus. Click it.

My favourite is this page. All about how clubs and clubbing is evil and God can’t protect you when you are there. Warning: There are some questionable pictures. Don’t view the site if that’s a problem for you.

Double whammy

I checked my bank account balance this morning, and my pay, and my tax refund went in last night. W00t!

So now I have no debt anywhere, nicely positive balances on all my accounts, and am owed over a grand from various people. Sounds like things are looking up :)

(Time to buy records me-thinks)

Here’s a couple of things for your viewing pleasure.

Numa Numa (In the vein of The Star Wars Kid)

Ididioth (Don’t click if you are offended by foul language, crude humour, or you are French)

Magical Trevor (A bit like that badger badger badger thing, but funnier)

The Star Wars Kid (In case this is your first time on the internet in 3 years. Don’t click if you were offended by Numa Numa)

Illumination

Wednesday I had an absolutely crap-tastic day at work. Thursday was fine, but I developed a death-strength headache. Yesterday was sunny and beautiful. Today is sunny and beautiful. Somehow all my worries and frustrations have dematerialized.

I finished reading Hey Nostradamus. I highly recommend it. It’s a tale told by four people, revolving around how their lives are changed by a high school shooting. Some parts are beautiful, some are heart-wrenching. It’s an amazing look into the human condition, and how we can feel so lost and like God has forsaken us all. But as we look back over things, we eventually see how close God was to us the whole time, and how he aches to be more involved than we let him.

That’s a lesson I learned about 8 months ago. It was when my parents separation was in it’s early stages, and I was still trying to figure out what I even believed about my dad and his beliefs. I was angry with God for not fixing it. Thankfully, he stopped me and said, “Jonathan, who do you think you are? I care more about your dad than you ever can. I want what’s best for him more than you want anything it.”

*Slap* A much needed one.

God’s been very good to me in that regard, swiftly bringing illumination to my unGodly attitudes and expectencies.

Age of Empires III

The geek in me is very excited. Age of Empires 3 is due out in the third quarter of this year. The graphics look absolutely gorgeous, the gameplay sounds like it will be fun, the story sounds enticing… and it’s Age of Empires. Can’t wait.

Most interesting part for me… they’re using the Havoc physics engine. That’s the same engine that Half-Life 2 used, and Psi-Ops, to realistically throw bodies and trees around. That means for AOE that when a you launch a cannonball into a bunch of dudes, some of them will go flying. When you cut down trees, they’ll fall, and roll down hills if you don’t catch them. That kind of thing.

And the lighting and graphic detail on the maps looks brilliant. See for yourself:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Can’t wait. Hopefully by that stage I’ll have a computer capable of taking advantage of all the features.

6 hrs left

Of my in-car driving lessons. Then I can get my license. W00t.

Aside from having a soar throat and cold, this week has been kindof cushy. I had Monday off due to having worked Easter Friday, I took Tuesday off because of being sick, Wednesday morning the same. So I worked 2 and half full days of work, got a week’s worth of work accomplished, and got paid for a full week. Make’s me wonder if I should reevaluate all my working hours.

My current quandary: Since Freshwind I haven’t touched my turntables, or even set them back up. Today was my day to do that, however now I will be spinning tomorrow at church for a Kids Intercession Training School. So, I’m not sure if I’ll bother setting them up, cause I’ll only have to take them down later on tonight.

I think I’ll just play Xbox, and read, today. Play Xbox = Halo 2. Read = “Hey Nostradamus,” Douglas Coupland. And perhaps eat… eat = anything.
